Want to see Maui but can’t figure out how to see all of the best of the island in a reasonable time? We can help with that! The Essential Maui Experience is a round-trip tour that allows you to relax in air-conditioned comfort as we take you to all the most essential locations on this wonderful island. From Haleakalā’s summit to the stream cut and impossibly lush ‘Iao Valley, to the many country towns scattered about the island. Listen to informative live narration that will both teach you about the island and point out the many landmarks and local wildlife as you pass by them. It is a truly all inclusive tour that you can’t miss.
Transportation for the whole trip is provided. Hotel pick up is likewise provided. Enter the name of your hotel and time of the reservation. Afterwards, phone the Reservations Department at 808-877-4242 a full 24 hours before your tour to re-confirm the time and place you are to be picked up. We are not permitted to pick up guests in residential areas or at Air BnBs, so please take that into consideration as you plan where to be picked up.
Maui has an incredible amount of things to see for such a small island and our goal is to help you to see the best parts of it! Haleakalā and ‘Iao Valley are both gorgeous natural landmarks of the island, the first a massive shield volcano and the second a stream cut valley full of lush rainforest. Native plants and animals, such as the rare but recovering Nene Goose, can be seen and will be pointed out by our guides as they see them. This is all before even getting to the small, country towns that dot the landscape and add so much character and local history to any trip that includes them.
Getting to see the many incredible locations of Maui is one thing, but it is so much more valuable to do so while also learning about them from our expert guides. Your trip will feature informative narration that will both help you to know what to look for as we pass by important locations and rare wildlife, as well as teach you history and context behind what you are seeing and where you are going.

Don’t miss a thing when you visit the always incredible island of Maui! Take a round-trip journey with us as we visit little country towns and see the various stunning sights that Maui has to offer. The mighty and dormant shield volcano of Haleakalā, the lush, stream carved ‘Iao Valley and more can all be seen from comfort as our experienced guides provide live narration. Try to spot rare plants and animals with the help of the guides, such as the Nene Goose, which was once nearly driven to extinction but is now bouncing back! See the ‘Iao Needle, a massive volcanic structure larger than the Eiffel Tower, covered in beautiful greenery. Maui has so much to see, it would be a shame to miss out on anything, and it is our goal to make sure that you don’t!
Please note that this tour is not recommended for guests with any heart or respiratory conditions that would be exacerbated by high altitudes. If you have gone scuba diving, please wait 72 hours before scheduling your trip to give your body time to readjust to the difference in pressure. 48 HOURS NOTICE OF CANCELLATION, prior to tour departure is required for full refund; no-shows will incur a full charge. Maui Haleakala Sunrise tours require 72 hours, horseback riding tours require 120 hours advance notice. One Day Tours and One Day Tours with Helicopter – a full refund if cancellation notice is received up to 120 hours prior to the airport meeting time. If the tour is rebooked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Refunds or partial refunds for tours, activities, flights, or venues that are canceled due to reasons outside of our control (weather, force majeure, etc.) will not be honored. Inter-island airline flight schedules are subject to change by the carrier and may be unavailable at the current tour price. For an additional fee, alternate flights may be an option but are dependent on availability and additional fees must be paid in full at the time of booking by the guest and are non-commissionable and non-refundable. Refunds for extenuating circumstances are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A valid doctor’s note submitted within 5 days will be required for each guest requesting a refund due to illness. Some tours require a minimum number of participants to operate; affected guests will be refunded or may rebook to a similar tour/product based on availability which may be subject to additional cost.
