Choose a Guided or Self-Guided Tour
Experience the beauty of Haleakalā at your own pace with our morning guided vehicle tour. Sleep in and still explore the summit, crater, and visitor center. Afterward, join our guided bike ride down Haleakalā, with scenic breaks in Kula and Pāʻia.
You can also join our guided tour of the summit and visitor center, then come down out of the park and start a long downhill bike ride back to Haiku at your own pace. See the paniolo town of Makawao on the way!
Haleakalā at Sunrise
Experience the unforgettable beauty of a Haleakalā sunrise in Maui. As you stand 10,000 feet above sea level, witness the breathtaking views of the morning sun and marvel at the stunning display of light spreading across the volcano's crater floor. Be inspired by the National Park landscape and immerse yourself in the sacredness of Haleakalā’s summit. Don’t rush off too quickly after sunrise, especially if you want some great pictures. The colors of Haleakalā Valley will grow more vibrant about 15-20 minutes after sunrise.
Visit some local towns in the upcountry
On your way down from the summit, you’ll find out why “everything is cooler in Kula.” Known for its farms and botanical gardens, this charming town also boasts superb restaurants, unique activities, and breathtaking views.
Immerse yourself in a whole new side of paradise. Pāʻia is quaint little town on Maui’s north shore — once best known for being the last stop on the way to the road to Hana — is now generally regarded as the hippest place on the Valley Isle.
