HALEAKALA SUNRISE & BIKE TOUR
Bike Down A Volcano After Sunrise!
Combine two of the most popular activities on Maui into one tour, watch sunrise on Haleakalā and then bike down the volcano, all the way to the ocean. This is an amazing way to spend a morning doing some very unique activities, that you can only do here on Maui.
Visit Haleakalā National Park with a certified interpretive guide who will show you the unique features of the area, teach you about the plants and animals that are endemic to the volcano. Your guide will bring you to the best spot to view the sunrise and itʻs amazing pre-dawn colors.
After sunrise, we begin a bike ride, just outside the park, that takes you all the way down the volcano, passing through Mauiʻs beautiful countryside and small towns.
Take in the views at this scenic national park known as the “house of the sun”. Haleakala Crater is a natural erosional valley with cliffs over 1800ʻ deep and filled with unique plants and animals. Explore the Summit Visitor Center and Park Headquarters.
Upon arrival at the summit, you will be escorted by your guides to the edge of the crater where you will view the majestic sunrise. Stand in awe of a majestic sunrise on the top of the mauna (mountain) that makes up Haleakala National Park. We arrive early enough for a little bit of stargazing, which at this altitude is incredibly clear.
After a beautiful sunrise and tour through the park, you will stop at 6500ʻ to get on a guided bike tour down the mountain. Enjoy the morning wind blowing through your hair as you twist and turn on a comfortable bike through Mauiʻs upcountry area.
Makawao Town is considered Paniolo Town (Hawaiian Cowboy) and is a great place for boutique shopping or exploring art galleries in upcountry Maui. Your guides will give you time to enjoy a breakfast or snack at the historic bakery or a unique cafe.
